Carved Lotus-Rim Marble Pedestal Basin

A rounded white marble basin whose rim is carved with a band of scrolling lotus-leaf relief, raised on a turned baluster pedestal column banded with ringed collars. The veined alabaster-white stone carries soft ochre patina across the carved petals, and the one-piece bowl-and-stem form reads as a freestanding font.
